Hollywood Allstarz - Jan. 27, 2007 - Voodoo Lounge, Riverside, CA

The Hollywood Allstarz played last Saturday night at a private club called The Voodoo Lounge in Riverside, California. This was Vinny Appice's last show with the band before he heads out for the Heaven & Hell Tour with Ronnie James Dio and the rest of Black Sabbath. I had no idea what to expect for this non-descript venue located in a Industrial Business Park.

While the best natural venue I've ever been to is Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, the Voodoo Lounge is without a doubt the coolest man-made venue I've ever seen. The inside is decorated in kind of a rainforest motif. In the distant future when I get rich, this is definitely the kind of thing I'd like to spend my money on. The sound system was awesome, the band was solid and the crowd reaction was great. It was a phenomenal show all the way around.
